DEATH PIGGY1982-1987

Death Piggy was a hardcore punk band from Richmond, Virgina originally made up of Dave Brockie (vocals + bass), Russ Bahorsky (guitar), and Sean Sumner (drums).
This line up would release two EPs titled Love War (1983) and Death Rules the Fairway (1984). After the second EP, guitarist Steve Douglas would replace Russ and the band would release one more EP titled R45.

The band's final show was in 1994.
X-COPS1993-1996

X-Cops was started after filming a commercial segment for GWAR's movie, Skullhedface that included Peter Lee and Dave Brockie dressed as police officers and Lee said, "What would be cooler than a bunch of cops playing kick-ass rock and roll?"

The band originally consisted of Cobb Knobbler (bass), Al Depantsia (guitar) and Billy Club (drums), but by the time X-Cops put on their first show the line-up had changed. The new members were: Tubb Tucker (vocals), Louie Scrapinetti (guitar), Phillip McRevis (keyboards), and Zypygski and Biff Buff (both additional vocals)
The band would release one album titled You Have the Right to Remain Silent... (1995) and a single titled Beat You Down (1996).
The stage personas were played by:

  • Brad Roberts as Mountain Bike Officer Biff Buff

  • During X-Cops active years, they would tour North America and Europe as well as open for GWAR.

    The band's last show was during the 4th annual GWAR-B-Q in Richmond, VA on August 17, 2013.
    DAVE BROCKIE EXPERIENCE1999-2003

    Dave Brockie Experience was a punk rock and heavy metal trio from Richmond, Virginia. The band included members: Dave Brockie (vocals + bass), Mike Derks (guitar), and Brad Roberts (drums). A total of 3 albums were released before the band quietly fizzled out. The three albums being: Diarrhea of a Madman (2001), Live From Ground Zero (2001), and finally Songs for the Wrong (2003).

    The band slowly became more inactive in order to focus more on GWAR. The last show was a reunion concert in 2012.
    LOCUS FACTOR2001-2011

    Locus Factor was a melodic death metal band from Richmond, Virginia. The band consisted of Dave Anderson (vocals + bass), Kris Norris (guitar + vocals), Nate Krishna (guitar + vocals), and Cory Smoot (drum + vocals). Cory would later go on to join GWAR in 2002 on lead guitar. He was the fourth and final person to perform as Flattus Maximus.
    While active they released a total of two albums (What Drives 1? (2001) and Between Saviors and Thieves (2003).) an EP (The EMMQ (1.5) (2001).) and one self-titled demo (Locus Factor (2002).)

    The band became inactive after 2002 when Smoot and Norris had joined other bands. They did have the intention to release new music until the death of Smoot in 2011. They are now split up.
    MENSREA2002-CURRENT

    Mensrea is a melodic death metal/metalcore band from Midlothian, Virginia. The current line up of the band is: Chris Wallmeyer (bass), Dave Anderson (bass + guitar), Nate Krishna (guitar), Marc Powell (vocals). Past members include: Kevin Vickers (bass), Shannon Lucas (drums), Dave Gibson (drums), and - of course - Cory Smoot (guitar).
    The band only has two albums out at the moment. Those being a self titled one from 2005 and Media Coil Interrupt (2008).

    The band is still active but currently on hiatus as of 2022.
